Spanish TikTok Shop videos: reaching Spanish-speaking US shoppers

Why a Spanish version of each product video is worth having, what makes a dub feel natural, and how to post both without doubling your work.

The US has one of the largest Spanish-speaking populations in the world, and plenty of them shop on TikTok. Most TikTok Shop videos are only in English. A Spanish version of the same video reaches buyers your competitors are not speaking to.

Translate the idea, not the words

A word-for-word translation of English ad copy sounds stiff. A natural Spanish voiceover says the same thing the way a shopper in Mexico or the US Latino market would say it, keeps product names as the listing spells them, and fits the same timing as the video.

Write a Spanish caption too

TikTok search works per language. A Spanish video with an English caption misses the searches it should be found for. Write the caption in Spanish, leading with the words a Spanish-speaking shopper would type.

Post the Spanish version as its own video rather than replacing the English one, so each can rank for its own searches.
